Disassembling iPod Shuffle

Is there any way to disassemble the iPod Shuffle. I will be getting a new 5g 30gb, but I want somethime I can take skiing, running, whatever, without worrying about scratching the thing or falling and breaking it. I would like to die the case black so it would match the 30g b. Im just wondering if you can take it apart.
