copying music from old touch to new touch

I appreciate that this has probably been covered numerous times but I have tried searching the forum but I cannot find it.

I have an old iPod touch that I am trying to transfer the music to a newer iPod touch. I have tried via iTunes, I have been into the apple store but no matter what I try I cannot copy it across.

I have tried the tutorials on youtube but cannot access the hidden folders on the old touch.

Can someone please recommend any third party software that may help me.

You will need to purchase software to do this. There is no way to get songs off of an iOS device without paid software.
This is why you are supposed to have all of your music in iTunes, and at least 1 backup of iTunes too.

Older software like CopyTrans used to be able to do it, Leawo also sells software to do this. I have no idea if they work or not.
