I'm right down the middle.
Audio:6.something
Video:6.something

When I got my Classic I didn't think I would put any video on it. I was wrong...

The poll should be phrased differently. It should be is the majority of your classic filled with videos or music.

No, it's worded correctly. The statement that started this is:

"I'd actually believe more people would buy the Classic for videos than audio." - Smrt.

Firstly, "majority of your content" is subjective..... Majority by duration, by file size, by quantity? Far too ambiguous to be useful, since a single one-hour video file takes up the equivalent of about 8-9 hours of music (assuming typical bit-rates are used for both).

Personally, I'm running at about a 100GB music library, which I carry around in its complete form on my iPod classic. The additional space is given to videos, partly because it's there, and partly because I do travel enough to want a few movies and TV shows with me when I'm stuck in a hotel room for a week.

However, that having been said, I almost never watch a video directly on the iPod classic screen..... In reality for me it's simply a portable video player to hook up to a TV in a hotel room or when I'm staying with friends.

You can take it as storage or actual use.

10% of my iPod Classic is Video and 90% audio and like you said I only carry the videos I have because I have the hard drive space. Audio is top priority for storage.

As per use I listen to my iPod 8 to 9 hours a day but in the last year I watched 3 movies.
So in use 99% of the time it is used to listen to audio.

Audio, hands down, and likewise for everyone else I know that owns an iPod (or any comparable mp3 player, for that matter). But I do keep a stock of movies on my iPod as well - you never know when it will come in handy.

Definately audio, except for video podcasts. If I wanted a true video player I would have purchased an Archos.

By content, I have 62GB of video and 24GB of audio. By use, I use it for audio WAY more than for video. The video is there because it's a convenient storage/play method with TV cables. If I'm going to watch the video on the iPod, I'll put it on my Touch until I watch it.

I don't have a new classic, but I guess the iPod video 5G could be classed as one. I pretty much use it the same as jhollington, mostly music and audio podcasts in the car. There are TV Shows and movies on it that I watch on TV's in motel rooms while traveling for work which is 4-5 days a week. I do however view video podcasts and some half hour TV Shows on the screen on my touch.

People vote and visit a few times to see how it is going. Even with the way it is worded it is clear to me people may have 20 or 30% devoted to video storage but people spend much more time listening to audio. Storage is videos is a secondary thing.

All as I expected.

Nobody in their right mind will watch primary videos on a classic.

My 160 is completely full and is just about half and half, which comes to 14,000 songs and 1,000 videos. I have hundreds more videos I used to have on there but I removed them to make space for more audio.

I do listen to audio more than I watch video, but I do use it for video a lot more than I ever expected to. And I use it a lot as a playback device connected to a TV too.

My 160GB is completely audio ... and I'm down to less than 5GB left and would love to see a higher-capacity Classic.

Primarily music, but I'm not a fair judge because the majority of what I have in iTunes is music. I hardly ever buy tv shows from the iTunes store or amazon and DVDs are just starting to be released with digital copies. That having been said, due to the screen size I'll probably keep this puppy for music predominantly.

I use it mostly for audio. I think I have about 20 music videos and 3 movies on it, but I rarely watch them. I use my Creative Zen Vision W for videos (bigger screen) and use my iPod for music.
