So,a re the new Classics scratch resistant? I've cleaned my screen extensively, and no scratches! It LOVES fingerprints, though.

The screen seems to be fairly scratch-resistant. The chrome back is another story, though.

The touch pad/scroll wheel is very sensitive though.

I remember I barely used it after opening it up and toying with it that it already had a few deep scratches from my fingernails. The scratches won't go away either. But, I keep my iPod in an Agent 88 case which seems to hold up quite well.

The click wheel on my classic got some scratches from my earphones rubbing against it in my pocket. The surface seems to be pretty durable, but I have the black one and have found that it shows fingerprints really easily.

I didn't take any chances. I slapped a screen protector on my new 160gb after a 60gb I used to have would scratch just by looking too hard at it.
