How do I search for music now that I have updated to OS4 on my 3G 64GB Touch?

When I enter text, all that comes up is Search Web and Search Wikipedia. It's very frustrating!!

I did a fresh restore (not from backup) and the propblem persists.

Check Settings>General>Spotlight Search and see if the music search category is enabled.

Edit: I just found you need to respring\reboot after changing the search settings.

if restore wont fix it or your settings let the battery die and recharge it full, then see sometimes this happens and fixes it.

Music is the ONLY category I have selected in the Spotlight Search. I have rest the Touch. I even did a complete clean restore (not from backup). Still, I cannot search music.

Try reindexing your music in itunes again, goto files in itunes and add folder the same one you use at the moment.

when this is done then sync and try searching for artist, album or song on your ipod and see that works.

Well, what needs to be done is not only check off Music in the options, but MOVE IT TO THE TOP! Makes no sense, but search is now working for music again.

I owe a BIG THANK YOU to ipodlover29 for pointing this out.
