what iskin do i want with my black ipod? arctic or eclipse?

any1 got pics of 1 in an arctic case?

the problem with eclipse is...its out of stock...and i have no clue when it will be back in stock..and i need this case as soon as possible!

The lint might be a problem, but in the few pictures I've seen with the black iPod and the arctic case, there appears to be some "wet spots" that show through (where the case is tighter against the silicone). I'm not sure if this is common, or just in the pictures I saw.

I'm not sure but I think it will show up in the black case too. I ordered the Sonic Blue to try to ease the lint problem. I have a black ipod too.

I have a black ipod and a black iskin and I love it. My friend has a white and white but I haven't seen it on there yet. Anyway, the iskin covers it completely so whatever color you want will be the only thing you see.

I just got the eclipse case, and am wishing I had gotten a different one for my black 30GB. It does attract dust, dirt, and flecks of skin in a big way. It was already pretty gunked up withing the few minutes it took to put my iPod inside. Also, since the case is opaque, you can't see the hold swich, which is now covered. Not only can't you tell which way is on or off, forcing you to remember, but it takes a lot of monkeying around to actually get the switch to move. This probably isn't helped by not being able to see the switch and see if the bump on the cover and your finger are directly over the switch. I got so frustrated that I ended up cutting the cover over the hold switch out. Finally, since it is opaque, you no longer see the gray markings on the click wheel. I kind of prefer the look of the gray markings on the black clickwheel, but with the case in, it's all monochrome.

just found this forum, thank goodness, i was about to shell out money for the iskin evo 3, but i've had two contours in the past that havent let me down and i've been waiting for a new contour showcase... looks like i have to wait a bit longer until they release their contour for the 5th gen... and just avoid using my ipod at all costs so i can avoid scratches >.< (btw, is it true that scratching the back of the ipod, on the steel voids the warranty?)

I just got my black iskin for my black 30 gig ipod yesterday and it's great. The hold switch isn't as "frustrating" to move as that one guy is making it seem. It does attract a bit of lint/dust after a while but I found that using one of those sticky rollers (used for removing hair off clothes) gets all of that completely off. I'm very happy that I bought this.

i have a white with artic and there are no wet spots. the lint is an issue but if ujust rub it it comes off.

and its not really that thick. it would be a lot better if the VISOR was thinner though, bc itf it was the case would be a lot smaller. that doesnt seem like it makes sense...but oh well.

I have the green evo3 on my black ipod. I really like the color and I can still see the click wheel text through it. I haven't had any trouble with the hold switch. I can still see the orange color and it's fine to use my finger nail to move. I keep it in my purse so there is a little hair and lint but it's not a big deal.
