Personally I beleive this is the best way for all of us to mange our videos when we have 10+ gigs of them on our iPods. After transferring a file to your iPod on the next update the iPod will just check to make sure the file is still listed in iTunes and does not actually download or delete anything unless you have truely removed this file from iTunes. Therefore those of us who have tons of movies or videos on our iPod can easily manipulate this feature. By deleting the movies or videos from the actual source location (my videos, hdd folder) this still leaves the videos clip art tag in the iTunes library. Though you cannot play the videos on iTunes anymore *duh* you can leave your videos to auto update and none of these deleted clips will be removed from your iPod. Thus you get your videos on your nice 60gb iPod and delete them from your low disk spaced PC that only had 40 gigs to begin with. Hopefully this thread can put to rest all Q's about how to optimize your iPods hdd along with your PC's. Personally I think this is the best way to manage videos and I use it so....
