Interpol- Turn on the Bright Lights
Franz Ferdinand- Franz Ferdinand

Interpol's is OUTSTANDING. Holy cow. I mean, it's easily one of the best of the decade, but that title belongs to Radiohead's Kid A.

I agree with your choice of

The Stone Roses - The Stones Roses

I also think in recent times Parachutes – Coldplay

More recently Hopes and Fears – Keene

And I also think Hot fuss – The Killers may well be considered up there in the future.

I'd personally give that honour to Brian Wilson's SMiLE.

Well, I just read two reviews of it. Pitchfork gave it a 9.0 an Tinymixtapes gave it a 5/5. So I guess it's pretty good. Considering how much I love the Shins, it'd probably match my tastes. Maybe I'll have to get it. I can see why you'd call it the best of the decade, but besides the fact that I think it's probably the best of the '60's, or whenever it's original release was supposed to be. Or really good. Well, I'd have to it. But Kid A... oh man. Speaking of the Shins, which I did, I'm seeing them in Salt Lake on the 11th of May. I'm excited. It's my first concert in nearly two years.

Here's a few more:

best ever....are.....

1. gn'r- appetite for destruction. one of the best albums ever, let alone debuts
2. metallica- kill 'em all. the birth of thrash metal...what more can i say?
3. muse- showbiz. just listen to unintended...says it all really
4. pantera- cowboys from hell- okay not strictly a debut album, but their first with phil, and thats good enough for me.
5. black sabbath- black sabbath- just so heavy.
6. manics- generation terrorists- one of the best albums of the early 90s.
