Best current way to restore iTunes library from iPod Touch?

I've read through all of the info about restoring your iTunes Library from your iPod. There are apparently more ways to do this then songs that I had in my 40gb library.

I read through the tutorial on this site, but it seems like it might be outdated. Also, many of the third party suggestions are either old or are called something else.

I don't mind paying for a good third party solution as long as it works. I did use one in the distant past which worked, but duplicated and triplicated many of the tracks along with occasionally losing a few off of each album.

Can anyone make recommendations on the latest one that works very well (and has decent customer support)?

Yes the article is a bit dated, but for the most part it works.

From what I have read here CopyTrans is the best one for IOS devices, but I could be wrong and have old information as well. I don't know if it works, or has support. Backups are much more reliable than 3rd party software, so that is what I use.
