Hi all,

I recently bought a new battery pack for my aging iPod Touch 1st Gen. I removed my previous battery, and am a little confused on the installation of my new battery.

The new battery has a ribbon with 3 connection points, and the two on the sides are labeled P+ and P-. The iPod has three wires, black, red, and white. Which do I connect to which?

For reference, the new battery has model number CS-IPT8SL. I also have some pictures of the battery and iPod.

Thanks.

EDIT:
iphonebatteryrepair com/Touch-1st-Gen-Installation-s/73.htm
mentions that i need to remove the sensor and system boards, is this really necessary?
