Hi everyone,

Because I was stupid and wrapped my headphonesa around my 2G 20 Gig touchwheel iPod for the past year, it seems like the metal contacts inside are bent on one side.

If the headphones (and set) are plug in, and turned right or left, at 90 degree angles, the sound works. Otherwise, it cuts the base out, or the mids, etc. It's interesting, particularly for bass helvy electronica... but it's broken none the less.

What I'm looking for is recommendations for either

a.) fixing it myself, and the links to the part/what to do (can I pull it back a little with tweezers?)

or

b.) a reputable iPod mechanic online.

Also, I assume that sending anything in for repair to anyone doesn not come with any warrenty if the 'pod is damaged, hosed, or otherwide wrecked - correct?

Thanks!
