Apple TV, MKV and SRT

Hi all,
Tried the search first but its not working..

I have an an Apple TV that I use and most of my HD content is in MKV format.
Since I'm not a native English speaker I usually have SRT files for subtitles.

I've tried Boxee on my Apple TV and it looks like it cant handle 720p videos on the Apple TV.

Is there a way to convert my MKV to Apple TV format with Subtitles? (I dont mind burning them in).

Look at the latest version of Handbrake. It allows you to encode files in ATV format AND add srt subtitle files.

I'll give it another try but I've never managed to do this with HandBrake..

Just today I converted MKV file for use with my ATV with a program called VisualHub. It's one of the best programs I've got.

I've manage to add the subs with HandBrake - I've needed to find the correct ISO for the char-set but after some try and error it worked great!

BTW - I have VisualHub (great program - too bad they stopped developing it..) but I've never seen subtitles support in it.
