I have inherrted an aplle ipod with considerable music on it - I have a pc and want to add tunes - what software will let me add thru my pc without erasing the stuff already put there by an imac?

So, it's a Mac formatted iPod? If so, normally you would just reformat it as a Windows iPod, but that would wipe out any music already on it. So, in your case, I'd try XPlay.
