So I'm trying to justify buying the new iPad Air coming out in October A 128 gig iPad Air with Sprint, keyboard cover, screen protector, stylus, an Apple TV, protection plans for both, and tax will run me about $1400 based on an estimation of a day 1 $1000 iPad Air 6th gen 128gig. I don't currently own any iPads. I mainly want it for iTunes U and I have a specific course in mind I want to start with:
Creative writing course 8:26
https://itunes.apple.com/us/course/c...ss/id550002605
I want to focus on writing courses but I also want to learn Hebrew and I'm interested in checking out other content.
2 courses at the local university run $1456.82. That's six credits in one semester. College course prices have gone up incredibly. And it wouldn't be to pursue a degree so there wouldn't be a difference vs. getting the content on my own vs. going to school (oh and that doesn't include the parking permit and all the driving... and online courses cost more).
So I figure if I "take" 2 classes on iTunes U I got the cost of the equipment covered. And I've lusted over iPads for years
Anyone taken any courses through iPad U? What are cool ones? Instructional ones? Etc.?
I'm really intrigued in that now it includes audio, video, but also PDFs that can only be read on iPads/iPod Touches/iPhones for a truly immersive experience.
Scrivener is coming out with an iOS app and that is the software to get when it comes to writing fiction, so I would also use it for that. And as a calendar app, to read magazines, view Netflix, etc.
