Read the title. Post them. I have three songs left on my trial at eMusic, and I don't particularly want incomplete albums. Any genre, eMusic must have it. I already got The Decemberists' The Tain, so there goes one. Muchas gracias.

Not sure if they're on eMusic, but:

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club: Howl Sessions, Vol. 1 - EP (or Vol. 2, both are 3 songs each, and quite good)

Try searching for "EP".
Then I get 445 pages of albums based on matching the search term, so a bunch of EPs. There doesn't seem to be a way to narrow it by rating or Editor's Pick or anything, so that's not going to work. Thanks though.

And BRMC aren't on it, but thank you too.

Lemon Jelly - Space Walk (Downtempo)
Spoon - Sister Jack EP - indie rock
Aimee Mann - Humpty Dumpty EP - indie
Young Galaxy - Swing Your Heart EP - shoegaze (?)
The Be Good Tanyas - Scattered Leaves EP folk/indie
Not an EP, but a suggestion - Simply Being Loved compilation, Sarah McLachlan - Blue (Joni Mitchell cover), Be Good Tanyas - In Spite Of All The Damage
Beirut - Lon Giland EP (5 songs, one free, you'll have to skip one)
Coldplay - Brothers and Sisters (personally I think this is a real snoozer, but I'm not a Coldplay fan)
Aeva - Cour Eclaire - synthesizer, sort of orchestral, 72 minutes in 3 songs, good reading music.

Personally I wouldn't go after "albums with 3 tracks or less", because EPs are often mostly tracks that didn't make the cut for an album...not necessarily the best stuff. I'd prefer to go for three really good tracks from a full album. Of course its all a matter of tastes, but personally I'd recommend the first three tracks from Sparrow House - Falls, or "Sloth Art", "Nothing Works", and "Cynics Anthem For a New Tomorrow" from Hanalei - Parts and Accessories, or "Rainin", "MacArthur Park Revisited", or "Boy at a Bus Stop" from The Bicycle Thief - You Come and Go Like a Pop Song.

I disagree, and can name several EPs that are very very good and for whatever reason are just shorter. Thanks for all your help, I'll probably go with on of your suggestions.

I think Relayer by Yes also had only three tracks too.

However, like Close to the Edge, it's crap apart from the album artwork. Pretty useless for a download, so I'd pass if I were you.

Your trial is probably long expired by now, but I'll throw in my picks anyway.

Antony and the Johnsons - The Lake EP: Recommended. Anything by these guys is just gorgeous. (3 tracks, one of them being Fistful of Love, which can also be found on 2005's I Am a Bird Now)
Camera Obscura - I Love My Jean EP (3 tracks, not their best work, but ok)
Beirut - Pompeii (2 tracks, the first - Fountains and Tramways - is one of my favorite Beirut songs)

And I'll second bdb's suggestion of Swing Your Heartache by Young Galaxy, but only if you don't plan to get the full-length s/t. The third song, Golden Coin, is just fantastic, but the others are on their full-length, which I highly recommend. Just about the best album of '07. I think my love for Young Galaxy should be well documented by now...
