• With the number of recent threads from brand new users that we have observed in our Classifieds forum selling goods under questionable circumstances, we have instituted a new policy restricting new members of iLounge from posting new threads in the Classifieds forum until they have reached "Regular Member" status.

New users become Regular Members once they have made 10 posts and been a member of the iLounge Forums for at least 7 days. Prior to this time, members may still read the Classifieds forum, and even respond to existing threads for items being sold by other members, but they may not create new threads advertising their own items for sale.

This will hopefully help to protect our user community by discouraging fraudulent users from signing up and posting classified ads without having at least a very basic level of established membership in our forums.

Obviously all users should still exercise due diligence when making use of our classifieds forums, but we hope that this restriction will help to decrease the number of blatantly fraudulent ads that we have been seeing in recent weeks.

Please be sure to review our Classified Forum Policy for more information.

Haven't those things been around for a bit? I see them at bookstores. Is the wireless part the new "big thing" for them? I'd rather read a real book to be honest.

Don't intend to be an early adopter but it looks promising. Mainly because I can get newspapers and books for cheap when they're bloody expensive here.

My only big complaint here is, the joy of a book is the fact that if the power's out you can always light a candle and read a good book. If the battery goes on this, well, it's not like candlelight is going to do much. And Sony is already selling one for 100 bucks cheaper, and it's a much sexier machine, at least design wise.

Ehh, I am not going to go out of my way to buy one of these things...I like to hold a normal book (I must just be weird), whats the point without some kind of backlight or any other type of light?? I mean thsts like what a gameboy is, without light its too hard to read the text, in my opinion. Like the fact it had wifi though, also this thing looks freakin HUGE it is not like I could put it in my pocket while not using it...

E-ink is not like regular LCD technology, so it's presumably much easier to see without a backlight.

I think it's very promising, as well as the Sony, but I don't really see myself getting it. It's called a library, folks.

Free wireless access to Wikipedia is very very cool though, and a feature that hasn't got enough press. That's worth at least a hundred bucks all by itself. For 200 bucks, I'd pick one up, so maybe next Black Friday, hmm Amazon?
