Good Evening!

hello. I'm new to the forum and the converting videos to mpeg4 format so please excuse my ignorance ... i have just 1 question....

I DL 2 movies this morning and now trying to convert into mpeg4 to transfer to my ipod touch screen. the format that movies are is called winrar. and the converter is not picking those 2 files up..

No problem with picking up movies from desk top screen.. because i have them located in the my videos file.. there is no problem with picking up WVI(not sure if that's the correct sp) and AVI format type of movies..

please.

WinRAR is a compression format, like .zip -- you need to expand and save the expanded versions, and then convert.

I think you need to buy a program.

From wha I have read, it looks like you need to buy a third party program to de-compress a .rar file. Here is a link to were I read it. It also has a shortcut to a prgram you can use but is only a trial version. This is what I read and maybe someone else knows something different.

You don't need to buy any software. Just download 7zip, it's free. Also, it is obvious you are talking about pirated videos here...they always .rar em up like that.

Probably shouldn't talk about these things in the way that you did, you're liable to get banned.
