Hi there, I'm new to the forum, just got an Itouch 2G 8GB.
I have noticed that on some websites (such as demand five) i am unable to watch video clips.
Is there any way of getting them to work?or to get flash player on it?does Safari support flash player?
I haven't yet jailbroken my iPod and don't want to unless completely necessary!
Thanks in advance

No, you cannot get the videos to work. The portable version of Safari does not support Flash. Adobe is working on Flash for the iPod touch/iPhone but no one knows when it is coming out. The lack of Flash support is actually a good thing though. Why? Because Flash really decreases your battery playback time. I have a pocket PC with similar specs to the 2G iPod touch. It can normally last for around 5.5 hours on a single charge when browsing the internet using wi-fi. I currently have Flash installed on that and my battery time is drastically decreased to 2.5 hours on a single charge. So the 2G iPod touch's battery time would be reduced further down than that, more around 1.5-2 hours.

You may not be able to access some websites but you are getting much better battery life. Now, I do believe that there is a website that will load other websites and make all of the Flash animations/videos compatible with the iPod touch/iPhone. I don't remember the link but I do believe that it is real. You can do some searching around here on the forums. Other than that, there is no way to get Flash up and running on the iPod touch itself.
