My 3rd gen was in its vaja case, when it fell out of a mail tray and on to asphalt. Now it is stuck in permanent hold.
Since I am buying a photo ipod and a mini for family b-day presents this month, I really don't have the cash to spend on a new one for me until around June or July...
Sooo..
I would like a gen 3-4...(to use the charger and dock I already have)
Scratching or dented is fine,
Bad battery is wonderful (I have a belken charger and I listen to it for the 8 or so hours a day I spend in a car)
Just needs to be functional and cheap

mods, nm kindly remove the thread, i got annoyed with the ipod, pried it open, and slid the bits back together, easier fix than i thought
