I like it. I just installed my iPod in my Jeep, so I've been checking this section of the forums lately. I'll post some pics next week.

I had mine installed just like yours, until I found a mounting solution from GBX Direct (www.gbxdirect.com). No drilling, it is customized to different vehicle makes and uses the screws that are used to mount the head unit. Very good idea, if you ask me. The mounting kit comes with lots of parts so you can customize it for use withan iPod, cell phone, etc. Here is a picture of what the mount looks like installed (product shot, not my car):

From there, I can use the kit that came with the mounting plate to create a cradle for the iPod OR I can just clip the iPod on while its in its case. I like having it in the case, b/c I can close the lid if I want protection from the sun. Also, it is very easy to unclip and take with me.

When installed, the plate looks very clean. So far, I'm very happy with the install. As I said, I'll try to post more detailed pics next week. Anyone: feel free to PM me for more info.

Question - where did you get your dual 1/8" male mini-stereo plug cable with the right angle connector on one end? The one they sell at Radio Shack do not have the right angle ends.

I just had the cable lying around in my "assorted cables and stuff" box in the garage. Just a lucky find I guess. But I'd assume Fry's electronics would have something like it.
