How could they refuse to fix or replace it?
What did Apple give as a reason?
They said that LCD problems are not covered under there warranty - even though it was caused by no fault of my own
they did offer me a refurbished ipod for $250 - i have lost a lot of respect for apple over the past couple hours and i will be canceling my order for that new mac mini...
That's bad news! Don't give up on your iPod just yet, maybe someone can help you out on one of the other forum pages here.
I have to agree with the customer service issue. I had a iPod Mini problem a month after I bought it and the people at the Houston Apple store told me that if they looked at it and could not replicate the problem I was having, then I was essentially out of luck.
I'm sold on the Apple engineering and the products that they manufacture. However, I'm definitely NOT sold just yet on the customer service/support that Apple is supposedly known for.
We'll see.
post some pics
sorry for the terrible pics - i really need a new camera
but you still get a general idea of the screen....
anybody interested ?
if i dont get any offers i may place it on ebay
the ipod is still fully functioning - the screen is still somewhat usuable - if youve ever used an ipod before you should'nt have too much trouble
Worst pics I've ever seen
Why .gifs? I'm from Buffalo. Depew exactly, but I live in Cincinnati now. Suck about your iPod.
im interested how much pm me and send me an email at bigfro920@aol.com please send me a reasonable price i also have stuff to trade if your interested.
im actually not sure how much i should ask for it - looking around on ebay it seems ipods with broken screens go for about 150 - i would like to get somewhere around there
How about $130....
130 shipped... if so i'm interested
I was hoping to get a little bit more, but if I dont get any other offers its yours
Also, as my computer is down for the time being (I am writing this from school), I will not be able to clear the music from the iPod
There is currently 1705 songs on it - a listing is available here - it takes a few minutes to load the page on a slow connection
no problem

The LCD on my iPod just spontaneously cracked this morning and apple refuses to repair or replace it - Prices for LCD repairs on the internet are crazy - anywhere between $150 and $300, the cheapest being half the price of a new iPod.
So I'm looking to sell it. Its in good condition - it has normal use wear - except for the screen. The screen isnt completely inoperable - I will post some pics later.
Im sure it would be great for parts, etc...
If anyone is interested please respond here or pm me
Thanks
