Is there anything with the same protections without the big price? i want to snowboard with it. and i want wheel and screen protection... should i just go for the ipod armor?

I just got mine a few days ago, and I love it. The only thing I dont like about it is removing the iPod. The only way I can take the iPod out, is with a heavy guitar pick. Its so tight in the foam, I cant take it out with my bare hands. You can open it up real easy though. Other than that, it is extremely protective and light...

Oh, and im using a 4G 40GB, so I dont know if the fit is looser with a 20GB. It comes with extra foam though, to make other models fit tight or something.

This is what turned me away from the case, every time you remove the pod, you end up running the gauntlet of scratch-whores trying to get at it, many users report difficulities in removing the their pod from the case, some resorting to using sharp objects to prize it out *ouch*. If you're happy only using shuffle mode then I guess it's ideal, but i'm guessing most will want to tweak and prod their iPods when in transit (and that's part of the cache of owning an iPod - getting it out and flashing it off once in a while ) //

*good idea* sew a peice of soft ribbon or cloth and have it hang out from underneath the ipod, so when you want to take it out, you just pull on the ribbon. i got that from my old walkman.

I'm not really sure why you guys can't remove it. With my 20GB 4th Gen, I can easily push it out through the top access place. I am very pleased with this case, and now I'm not afraid to throw it around a bit.....

I wish it was like that with mine. Maybe its because your iPod is thinner (Im using a 40GB). Even with the ribbon thing, its easier to get out, but it still requires alot of effort. For the guitar pick method, ive been using a heavy (Im guessing its like one MM thick) and that is still very hard to get it out with that. Did you use the extra foam it came with?
