hey all,

simple question about cases for the ipod.

i'm looking to get either a 20 gb or 40 gb ipod 4G.

my question is.. are there any cases which let you dock the ipod without removing it from the case?

if so, which ones are they.

if not, which ones are the easiest to remove without damaging the ipod.

the case that i'm most interested in is the Contour Design Showcase 4G but i'm flexible to other alternatives if they can provide the same level of quality as the contour's rep is.

thanks again...

My friend has the Speck skin, which does have a flap on the bottom that folds back so it can be docked. The skin itself wasn't all that impressive, however.
The iPod can be inserted into and removed from the Showcase in a jiffy. It's as simple as placing it into the case and latching the double-hinged latch.

thank you for the great reply.

and there's no chance of damaging/scratching the ipod while removing/inserting it in the showcase?

thanks again....

i believe the lajo exoflp folds back also, buts its just another skin
i just got a contour iSee and i love it. you can scratch your pod if your not careful, but its not as easy as most people think. you should def check it out. also, if you want more flexibility with your cases or your worried bout scratching when u put your pod in its case, try these...

Search in the gallery or the forums for some photos. The showcase folds open and lays completely flat. You place the iPod on the right side, where it rests on some soft rubber "nubbins". Close the lid, and then the latch. The only way you could damage it is if the iPod slipped out of your hands like a bar of soap, before you placed it in the showcase.
