Problem with the About screen

Hi!

Well it's not really a big problem, but in the About screen on my iPod it says that I have 8.1 gb space available, but that's clearly wrong. In Ephpod (and in windows it says something like 6.3 gb available).
When I load or delete songs on the iPod it doesn't change the 'available space' in the about screen, it keeps saying 8.1 gb.

I even tried to restore the firmware and hd with the 1.2.6 updater and loading the songs over again, but it still does the same thing.

Some times Ephpod can't update the iTunesDB because the iPod wont let it (The don't disconnect sign dissapears). It has only happened a few times though.

Anyone can solve these (very) minor problems?

BTW: the iPod is great, other than this I've had no problems at all.

The "remaining space" feature has never worked on my iPod which is almost 9 months old and has been through two firmware updates. My about screen has read 8.7 gigs remaining since the day I got it and it's now almost full. I was in a thread about this on the old forum and many folks have the same issue. You're right, it's no biggie but t'would me nice if it worked.

when i use ephpod to sync.... the about screen is right.. when i use MMJB to sync.... nothing change in about screen.. so i think it is the issue with MMJB..

in fact, for mine, it shows "0" songs and i clearly have over 30 songs which i can play from playlists..

before when i use ephpod, i don't have this problem.

my about screen displays the number of songs correcly, but the remaining space is not updated when "synching".
I've never used MM, but only Ephpod.
I use EAC and lame for encoding, so Ephpod does the trick fine.

I do use MMJB and my song count is correct as well. But from interactions I've had with others, it doesn't seem to matter much which program you are using with iPod. There doesn't seem too be much rhyme or reason as to who's iPod correctly lists this information and who's doesn't. On some iPod's using mmjb it works perfectly, some it doesn't. On some iPod's using Ephpod it works perfectly, some it doesn't. Who knows? All I know is that it's no big deal to me because everytime I sync or interface with mmjb it tells me the correct amount of HDD space I have remaining on my iPod.
