Rick,
I was planning on getting the Sony XA-300 as well. I also have a Sony head unit w/a Sony 10 disc changer. I was wondering how easy it was to set up since I don't know anything about setting up car audio. I had my head unit and changer installed at Best Buy.
If possible, could you tell me how you wired it up? That would be great. Thanks in advance.

i did all my own car installation stuff and i think it worked out pretty good. I dont have a pull out ash tray nor a dock so its a little messier than yours probably, but i love it. It makes me not even want to sell my car (which i really want to sell)
yeah except i think im going to just leave it all in my car when i sell it
boba_rick,
Could we see some pictures please? I'm thinking about doing this kind of install (w/the Dock) myself. Thanks!

OK, I got the 15 Gig with dock and last night installed everything in my car. Here is how I have it set up:
Car: 2000 Toyota 4 Runner
Sony Head unit with CD changer control (Unilink)
10 disco Sony changer wired to a Sony XA-300 AUX input switch. This gives 2 extra AUX inputs, and keeps the changer. The switch was small enough to fit under my head unit (I have a single size unit in a double opening).
I then have one of the AUX inputs running to the iPod dock.
Here is where it gets cool, the dock is epoxied into my pull-out ash tray. This means when the iPod is not being used, the tray pushes back in, and you can?t tell anything is there. I tied in the Belkin auto adapter behind the dash for full stealth.
The only issue so far is that you can?t really see the screen on the iPod because of the angle it is at. That is no big deal for me because I let it run anyway. I will try to get a picture or two up soon.
