Included belt clip inadequate

I was walking in the parking lot with my iPod mini clipped to my belt with the included belt clip and soon found my mini tumbling along the pavement. It hadn't come unclipped from the belt clip, rather, the entire belt clip came off my belt. Further investigation shows the clip (to the belt) is woefully inadequate with it sliding off with little effort. My then 3-day old green mini now had several dings and scratches, but otherwise was OK. I hope some company out there will come out with a better, but similar clip design, preferably with a much stronger and swiveling belt clip. Any signs of this in the near future? I don't want to use a case both because they don't allow use with a dock (I have a dock in my car with the line-out going to the stereo) and they, at the least, obscure the nice looks of the mini.

Yea I find the belt clip useless also... luckily, I found a great substitute lying around the house... a leather case for my old Nokia 8290! (ebay link for pic). It fits the mini great, has a soft non-scratching material on the inner parts of the case, and clips to your belt for secure ipod listening. Headphone jack is not obstructed at all and best of all it looks pretty slick. Another great alternative case for the mini!

i like to clip a lanyard to my belt clip and then loop it around a belt loop (or just stuff it in my pocket if i'm wearing tight pants). then if the belt clip comes off my belt my mini has a safty line....it might look stupid on guys, but my husband thought it looked cute on me.

I haven't had a problem with my belt clip. It stays securely fastened to my waist when i'm walking or running.
