iSkin EXO2

I have just purchased a iSkin EXO2 for my iPod and was wondering about charging it etc...

I read a review on Amazon which stated that it was a faff to remove for charging...

Does it need to be taken off to charge? Can the iPod be docked or charged with the "skin" on?

Has anyone tried this? Is it recommended?

First, since this is the forum for gear for the iPod mini, you may want to send any other questions you may have regarding the exo2 to the full-size gear thread.

Second, this question has been asked and answered many times in the full-size gear thread. You may want to look there to see if your future inquiries have already been addressed.

But third, I'll just answer your question. I have charged my iPod many times with an exo on it and I have has no problems with heat, etc. Apple DOES NOT recommend charging the iPod inside a case, so if you're really worries, you may want to listen to them. I guess if you're doing small transfers, or just charging, you should be fine. If you're going to do some major gig-size transfers, you may want to remove it from the case first to prevent any sort of overheating.

Also, the iPod with an iskin on will not fit in the dock for charging. There are stories of people who have removed the top white cover of their dock, which will allow a skinned iPod to fit, but it loses stability that way, and I personally would worry about bumping and pin breakage.
