I think what you are supposed to do is hear the beep, wake up, put your headphones on, and then listen to your music alarm to wake you up. J/K
I don't think you can play the music alarm w/o a external speaker (enless you sleep with your headphones on).

I've only been able to get the beep to work with the alarm clock. I tried using other playlists but with no luck. I did try to sleep with my sonys in (ex70's) and woke up half strangled. My girlfriend was LHAO when she woke up and saw me... Ohhhhh the humliation of testing features in your sleep
I can only get mine to beep as well... Really annoying...

I'm running the 2.0 iPod, and it won't let me set a different sound for the alarm clock. I can set the time, and it will beep, but when I go into the sound selection, and select one of my playlists, it doesn't change the sound from "beep"! It's kinda annoying, since the beeping noise is awful :P Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.
