Fix the App Store!
Hey,
As a developer, my experience with the App Store hasn't been all that positive. No matter how many phone calls and emails I send nothing seems to happen. I submitted a story to Digg to try to get some attention to the issue. I realize the title is pretty sensationalist, but I had to get it noticed, right? :P Please help me out and get this Dugg! http://digg.com/apple/App_Store_Ripp...ome_Developers TTFN Bridger Maxwell |

Apple needs to have a system set up where developers can not only communicate with Apple via email, conference chat with iChat AV and use a bug reporting system but also allow developers to communicate with each other without being in jeopardy of breaching their NDA.

Apple just needs to not over extend itself. Look at all the things they've got on their plate right now. There's iphone software 2.0 bugs, MobileMe problems, the app store is poorly implemented, etc. Developers are having big problems getting their updates pushed to the app store, as well as not even being able to get ahold of Apple for whatever reason.
Its just ludacris if you think about it. Nowhere else do you have that degree of "oversight" and big brother mentality from a hardware maker, with such poor real world implementation all the while. If Apple wants to be taken seriously as a moderator and competent host for all of iphone's applications, then a large amount of resources and time should have been devoted to this initiative. I really get the impression Apple wanted to create the App store and just set it in motion so to speak. They led us all to believe they would provide oversight, but let the developers and customer reviews play out as they will. Instead what we get is Apple immediately pulling one of the first real apps that isn't just a cute toy or proof of concept, further showing the world and its customer base that even when you play by the rules as Nullsoft did, you may get squashed under the weight of Apple's provisions.

I suggested on another forum for your case was to resubmit your app with an update and it will make it to the front of the new releases. you dont need to post on every iphone forum for your issue just to get attention and bring sales to yourself.
