hey when i traded my mini in for a new one i wanted to get some kind of case for it at least to keep it safe until a good one is available online to order.
i found this micro-camera case that fits the ipod perfectly and is only $7!
it is pretty sturdy and has holes in the sides so you can easily fit the charger cables or headphones. and it has a neck strap that it comes with but most importantly it has a sewn-in belt loop (not a snap type) so it could be attached to your belt with complete security. the front and back are nylon fabric with thick cardboard inserts and the sides are elastic fabric with gaps in the top and bottom. overall it seems very sturdy and since i already had to return 1 mini, i am keeping mine in there except when i am changing playlists and such.
if the mini is on its little clip the whole thing fits in the case VERY snugly. its loose without the clip but there would be room for a headphone case or somethign else.
its called the targus micro camera case, if you dont have a best buy near you some other store will probaly have it. i might upload some pictures of mine later but i am really lazy so don't hold your breath.
