I was walking out the door today and made sure i had everything i need to go out, Keys, Wallet, iPOD and bugger where is that blasted phone.

(This is where it struck me)

The apple would be wonderful if you could have a mobile phone on it.

i'm sure it's been thought of before, frankly i wouldn't mind having it two in one.. as long as they improve the battery time and make it not so fragile

no thank you could you imagine putting it up to your head to talk into it???
look at those freaks with the Nokia ngage and how they have to talk into it (sans headset). I'll stick with my 3650 thank you...

Wired (I think) did a mock up of an iPhone and and iVideo in one of their recent issues. They did their's with touch buttons for the numbers, but another way would be to "hide" the numbers under the scroll wheel and have them appear (light up) when you were in phone mode.

Eh... Not good though. I would see an attachment of some sort...Antenna/speaker on top, mic goes through firewire on bottom.

i want my iPod, a piece of beauty to play the music i love, not hear the girlfriend or mother or whoever having a go at you for one thing or another :P i wouldnt be able to turn it off eithe cos i'd be listenin to it that much so wouldnt escape them.. omg not a good idea lol

If it was done well, I would certainly want/get one. There are a lot of ways it could be done poorly, so it would certainly be a challenge.

i personnally think it would be the worst product ever.... a rectangular phone...

I wouldn't like this AT ALL. My phone is good at making/receving calls. My iPod is good at playing music. They're both fairly small products, and I have room for both in my bag easily. Why complicate things?

ya, do a test though, go find a mirror, and see how you look with your ipod next to your ear as if it was a phone

Today I found an article on exactly this. phones as digital music players. Sounds like it could be a possibility in a couple years. Compare it to camera phones, who would have thought that was going to be such a hit?

Well I have!
If I were to making the Ipod I would have it by using the headphones. On the remote an answer and end button. Not sure about the dial buttons but you may get them on. (More buttons easier to use. I suppose)

I agree. How often do you use a camera?
I bet you people out there use your phone and Ipod all the time its meant to be.

Apple should bring out two Ipods out, one phone one not
