How to protect Nano port against damage?
Just got a Nano and when I use it in my car, I'm worried that sooner or later, I'm going to damage the port when it's plugged into my Monster car adaptor. The Monster plug is pretty big and with the fragile Nano connected, all it would take is laying something heavy on it, or someone sits on it and...snap! Or at least, it could bend the port or even the Nano's aluminum body, with a bit of leverage.
I'm wondering if someone will make a "docking" unit or something, in which you could securely seat the Nano, and the car adaptor would then connect to the docking unit. If not, maybe I'll try and improvise. Also, the docking adaptor that came w/ the nano to fit standard sized iPod accessories is too big for certain things, for example the Logoitech MM50 speakers I have. I guess I'll need to file it down, unless there's a better way. |
