Ehhh... That sounds suspiciously like, Go to your Podcast folders, then drag the mp3/AAC files to your mobile device.

Doing so obliterate the reason to use podcasts at all, which is for the application to manage the podcast contents, syncing to mobile device automatically, maintain last-listened-pointers, and auto housekeeping (deleted) already listened to podcasts.

I ask again. Any phone what will work EXACTLY like an iPod, with all its couch-potatoe features intact?

Phones with iTunes will act exactly like an iPod, which may mean it needs to be manually updated, meaning you have to drag-and-drop the podcast from the Podcast listing to the phone's.

If that's the case, forget iTunes. The strength of iTunes, to me, is its housekeeping capability, which once setup, I don't worry about it. If I had to go manual, more nimble tools out there, AND currently no song limits like iTunes.
