hmm, well, is it a 3rd generation ipod? if so, what size is it 10, 20 or 40gb
you can tell if its a 3rd generation by the fact that the face playe is rounded on the edges, has all touch sensitive buttons that glow red when the blue backlight is on |

All ipods ever made work with both mac and pc. Just run the restore program on whatever OS you're on.
