Unhappy Shuffle in Laundry = BAD

Doing the laundry when I realize that my shuffle is still sitting in my cargo shorts pocket from the day before. It probably spent a good 15-20 mins in the soapy water.

I let it dry out for 2 days before picking it up again.
I have tried to turn it on and hit play but nothing happens. No lights, no sound... nothing.

Is there any hope?

(click next on that page to see the following image as well)

pour in some high concentration rubbing alcohol ( >90%, should be available at your local drug store, walmart, etc.)

shake it up to rinse everything, repeat as you see fit.

empty out as much of the alcohol as you can.

let it dry (i would just let it sit, no hair dryer or anything) for at least 48 hours.

replace the switch and test it out. (might not hurt to restore it using the ipod updater www.apple.com/ipod/download)

please report back with your results.

who would be stupid enough to let the shuffle get wet by rain or leaving it on your pants and tumble dry the shuffle or let it fall on the pool...i mean, if you're that clumsy, u obviously dont care for shuffle and should buy something bigger to take notice of...

i will repeat: "who would be stupid enough to let the shuffle get wet by rain or leaving it on your pants and tumble dry the shuffle or let it fall on the pool...i mean, if you're that clumsy, u obviously dont care for shuffle and should buy something bigger to take notice of..." and now that u mention, why would you let it be stolen, i mean its small enough to be in your pocket so why didnt u have it there? the ipod shuffle was meant for pockets...
