It's the same slip case that comes with the iPod video, but fits the iPod nano.

Smart move on Apple's part. It more than likely only costs a very small ammount, and will save them from countless angry customers over scratches.

I do wish they'd at least include one that let you see the screen while its in the case. Oh well..

how to figure it out wich nanos comes with case? I need one will ask apple or buy a new one just to take the case and return it to store

thats just the thing that irks me about apple. they're really good at making current owners feel sad. whether its updated technology or stuff like this.

I am calling Apple on this.

I am on the phone with Apple customer service. They had no idea that nanos were shipping with cases, I got put on hold. They came back and told me; "all iPods are now shipping with a protective sleeve." They are seeing what they can do to "help" me. I told them expect more calls like this, the rep said he got one already and told the person that the nano does not ship with a case, and glad he checked with his supervisor. I'll post to let you know how I make out

Apple customer service was awesome. They can't send me the sleeve that comes with the nano, but are making it up to me by sending me a case for my nano

Speaking up gets you somewhere. I have to say Apple's customer service was nothing short of spectacular. They understood what I was asking, and did what they could to remedy the solution. The case I am getting is by far better than the sleeve, so thank you Apple.

I called them, I just wanted the sleeve. They are sending me the xtrememac tuffwrap 3 pack for ipod nano. I even told the rep that wasn't necessary, I just wanted a sleeve that all iPod nano owners are now getting. She insisted, even let me decide which color pack I wanted. I was amazed at how kind she was, and thanked her profusely. She said she understood my point, and wish she could send me the sleeve, but thought these might be better I agreed. I am sure Apple is going to come up with a plan to solve this sleeve problem. Who ever the woman was at Apple was so kind, and really shows how great their customer service is. I called 1800myapple.

hmm....wonder if they'd send that little timbuk2 case thingie instead...

lol, it's weird she picked the case out for me. She did let me choose what colors which was nice. I doubt this will last though. 1800myapple
