Hope this hasn't been asked ad nauseum already. Any news/rumours about the eventual 5th generation iPod? Hints as to the new features, and when it could even become available? Just curious as to what anyone might have heard....

It's been asked. Search for 5G.

There is future iPod forum, check it out. What I know 5g will be named as iPod movie/video with the following features:
1. FM receiver
2. 3d GUI
3. Movie playback
4. 30 hours battery live
Some other enhancment to many to list here, for example gapless playback, digital out, and better sound quality.

no the photo will be updated and called 5G abd a ipod video will come out as a new ipod line

it's all just speculation at this point.

What about Bluetooth? That's what I'm waiting for... Wireless bluetooth headphones. etc.

They are available already. I THINK iPodlounge did a review of them.

they did. bluetooth headphones are pricey though if you buy 'em seperately. it'd be nice if apple just provided them.

also, i think the photo will be changed a little and called the 5G. then video ipod will take the empty place in the line:

oh, and release date is rumored for the June 2005 WWDC

I would be very very surprised if you're telling the truth who on earth says 'when we drink beer' when casually referring to a time they went out with a mate? Also the feature list you provide is incredibly unrealistic. The ipod will NOT get FM radio as it overcomplicates things for no benefit, unless you're fond of listening to music you don't like on a device that holds all the music you do like. If you can get a movie playback device with a 3D GUI and not have the battery twice as big as the current ipod and still have 30 hours playback you should patent it because that kind of technology is currently impossible.

In other words 'Why must you turn this board into a house of lies?'

a removable back cover to replace the battery would be just swell..
