Muahaha Got Nero Recode To Work!

My videora didnt work for some crappy reason so I've been messing about with Nero Recode and it finally worked!

It converts the file to Mpeg-4 and resizes it in the 320x240 by using black bars.

For anyone who wants to know heres how it is.

1. Open Recode
2. Click Recode Video Files to Nero Digital
3. Click Import Files on the right
4. Go down your list and select the file.
5. Click Add Title
6. Click More at the bottom left
7. In the drop down box to the bottom right "Nero Digital profile" select Portable
8. Unselect Fit to target
9. Click Next

Burn Settings:

1. Click Nero Digital Settings to the left
2. And then check the box Expert mode
3. Encoding method "High quality encoding (2-pass)
4. Quality/Speed. Select Extra quality in the Performance/Quality box
5. Advanced. Check the Simple profile box
6. Click Burn

Sorry if its not clear enough. This is the method I used. I got a video to work. I'm doing another one now to make sure it wasnt a fluke.

Inquiring minds will want to know if you transferred the video to the iPod 5G & got it to play on it. Also, how was the quality of the picture?

Nero recode always worked...it was getting the h.264 codec in recode to work that was the problem. I think there is a way to uncheck some of the features so that it is compatible with the baseline profile of the ipod, but I can't test until i get mine in.

Yes it worked on the iPod. I got perfect playback. The quality is amazing. Just as good as if I was watching it on my pc.

Hey misa i was just wondering is there a way to make the file sizes of the converted video lower? Preferably around 300-350 mb. Thanks.

yes when u load up the files u can use a little lever to lower the file size but quality goes down...a file around 250-300 is good quality for a divx movie

Why did people tell me that it didn't work then.... grrr!
So I gave up feeling stupid for telling everyone how great this program is!

I'm so glad it does work and now I begin bugging you guys again how to get rid of the green fog in my OC-episode

@ragingSpam this is not DivX...
Reducing the quality 500kbps will make a movie about 300MB small!

Here is a good guide for nerorecode by doom9.org:
