For about a week or two now my iPhone battery has a shorter life than it had in the past, and the change was rather abrupt. Furthermore, the percentage of life isn't a constant drain, and it jumps around. Once it dies completely, which is hard to predict considering what I've described, i'll plug it in and it suddenly has a charge of 58%, always 58%. Anyone had similar problems? I'm usually good at finding relevant threads but I cant seem to find anything similar. Thanks!

I had what sounds like a similar problem with my iPhone 3G, The battery was lasting around 7 when it wasnt being used and even less when it was. When it was plugged in the big green battery icon would show allsorts, it would say the battery was in the red and the small icon in the top corner would show the plug icon ie. fully charged complete contradications of each other. Anyway i found turning off push notifications worked for me its been fine since. Probably worth a try your notifications are turned on.
