that's cool! i love coffee when i'm out & about. what a great marketing tool
just did a quick search i'm assuming you mean this:
iTMS @ starbucks
seriously, that's a great way for both parties to make more money. now we just need more places like that (malls, etc...) with FREE wifi. i wonder if any big pub chains would be interested in that too (they'd have to be fairly big to pay for the licensing)?
thanks, i may check this out this week
Actually I wasn't really talking about the iTunes store or with wi fi in Starbucks. I am talking about a free music promotion where there is a different song download available via a card each week.
I came across something a while ago saying that Starbucks was getting out of the music biz. If true that is too bad since I really enjoy their compilation CDs. Lot's of indie stuff.
I have always enjoyed driving to starbucks and checking the latest news out. It just seems so roomie and confortalble.
Good Topic!!
I am a Starbucks Employee and I bring home the POTW each Tuesday. Every SB should also have the POTW make sure you ask them for it and dont count on it being on the counter..
My "local" Sbux has them. Maybe you can speak to your local store manager.
Just picked up one in Maryland on the way home from a business trip. A song from the Monsters of Folk "super group'. The CD is on my wishlist, but figured I'd grab the tune for free.
Only problem with these (at least last time I looked) are that they are still DRM'd.

Do any of you still hunt for these at Starbucks? They still are released weekly but they seem to be hard to find in my area. I know it's only 1 99 cent song...but I get hooked on getting them all. I tend to like some of the artists and tracks that I have discovered there.
I just wonder if there are others out there who try to find these. It feels like when I go into a Starbucks and ask that they are such an aftethought and no other customers are looking for them.
I even tried creating a Facebook group to see if there are other "hunters" out there...
