So my iPod stopped working a while ago and from reading around I figured out that it was the battery because it wasn't turning on or doing anything. So I ordered a battery and installed it and it started working just like normal for a few hours. A few hours later that same day I tried to charge the ipod and it wasn't charging or turning on. Is this a known issue or could it be that the battery I ordered was bad?

It could be the battery. Try to disassemble it again and reconnect your battery.
Connector may be loosed |

Tried it and still it doesn't do anything. I bought a second battery and it did the same, it worked for a few hours and then the battery dies while it was on a iPod speaker dock that charges the battery while it plays...I thought maybe it should be the connector for the USB cable, but then I remember that it worked fine when I first connected the batteries. This is driving me crazy, I really don't know what it could be.

Your iPod is not charging at all. Check your battery connection. Look at the pins underneath of the connection and check to see if there's any "cold solder" maybe the pins are not in contacted with the circuit board.
Also remove the tape from the USB port and check all the pins as well. Mainly pin 8- 18 from left to right. Since, your iPod couldn't received any charging to your battery therefore the battery died out. |

What do you mean by "remove the tape from the USB port"? From what I can see on the USB connector it seems like all the pins are fine.

If you have the warranty time you must contact to the franchise to solve the problem.
Warranty claim is acceptable for ipod. |
