Music to Listen to While Gaming?

Can anyone suggest me some good songs/bands to listen to while playing games without music (Halo 2, specifically)?

Um, Halo 2 is mildly similar to Metroid Prime, and I listened to a lot of Sigur Ros' Agaetis Byrjun whilst I played Metroid Prime. I liked how it fit with the ice sections of the games. Also, I like Grandaddy and The Flaming Lips for some reason. Um, I'm at the last boss of Metroid Prime and I stopped playing. It's been like, two months. Whatever. I guess I'm just not hardcore.

Halo 2 is scary

i dont play halo 2, but when i play ut2004 i usually listen to early 90s rap (B.I.G., 2pac, snoop, dre, nas) or sometimes nirvana, zeppelin, and stuff like that. When im not playing an fps though i listen to just about anything.

is it strange that i like listening to air while i play sports games?

i cant listen to music while lpaying halo 2...i get into the zone ya know and i dont pay attention..but i listen to like drum and bass music wen playing racing games or fast paced music with high bpm's

"Beastie Boys - To the 5 Boroughs" is a great cd to listen to while gaming.

-The Beatles
-The Eagles
-HIM
-Nickelback

Also, anything that is more like a harder rock because it gets me in the zone, as someone said before me, to kill somone in that game!

When playing Sonic 1(Megadrive) I usually play Snap - Rhythm is a Dance and Seal- Crazy

As both of these songs were released in 1991.

For instance, role-playing games:
Milli Vanilli
RuPaul
Gwar

First person shooters:
Tupac
50 Cent

Sports:
Shaquille O'Neal
Deion Sanders

Things like that.



Generally, I'll listen to some sort of electronica. Preferrably breaks.

i like hard, loud songs for gaming (don't have Halo 2 but I used to be addicted to Quake 3 Arena). I throw in some Nine Inch Nails (espeically March of the Pigs), some early "Dig Your Own Hole" era Chemical Brothers, some Megadeth and At the Drive In and then go kick some butt

For street fighter and other fighting games I listen to Linkin Park

Soundtrack from the Matrix is always a favorite first person shooter soundtrack - or if you have Quake 2, you can play the music from there.

Back when I played TeamFortress for Quake I, I used to put in the Time Life Classical Thunder CD set.

uhh...you listen to Shaq rap when you play sports games? geee!
how about some Kobe rap or AI rap (check out this song Kobe did with Tyra Banks LOL)
