That is the thing i dont know the artist name, ive gone through all my cds and it isnt there so i may have got rid of the disk. in itunes it is listed as track 1, track 2 etc. i know there are services where you play a sample and it tries to guess the title. but i cannot remember what they are called. and thesebtracks are not exactly mainstream... it falls under goa trance and i think the only way is for someone to recognise the track... i want to rebuy the album so i need to find a way of getting the track name.

You can try something like the "Soundhound" app if you've got a smartphone (mine is Android, maybe it or something similar is on iPhone).

It will "listen" to songs & do a look-up over the internet to find the name of song/artist/album. Worth a try if you have (or a friend has) a smartphone to try it with.

You could always try and google the lyrics and see if the song comes up?
