Talking Listing Etiquette

I am wondering what others are doing about songs that are sung by an artist but are remixed by a DJ. I hate to have blanks for Artist or Album but often this info isn't readily available. Also I want to give credit where credit is due.
What do the rest of you do or am I over analyzing this? LOL
Thanks, Brenda

I put the remix info into the track title and use "Album Artist" to help keep this under control. For instance, Balkan Beat Box's Nu Made (Remixes) album: Track 2 is titled Digital Monkey (Soulico Remix); I use "Soulico - remix" as the Artist, and "Balkan Beat Box" as the Album Artist. Albums still display properly in iTunes, but I can also easily sort/see/list remix artists (such as a smart playlist gathering tracks where Artist contains "remix"; for more granularity -- say, all remixes of BBB stuff -- I add another criterion, AND Album Artist is "Balkan Beat Box".

Another example: track Name: Pumped Up Kicks (Butch Clancy Remix); Artist: "Butch Clancy - remix"; Album Artist: "Foster The People"; Album: "uDubstep.com" (a great track, BTW; get it here, or watch it here ;-)
