Arrow Converting .wv (wavpack) into .mp3

Hi,

I need to convert many .wv files (wavepack) into mp3 (or wav) files.
Does anybody knows a freeware for that purpose ?

Tony

Assuming you are using Windows, Foobar2000 will do this. You will need to download it and the Lame mp3 encoder if you want to convert your files to mp3 though. You can get foobar2000 from their website, just follow the links to download it. You can get the Lame mp3 encoder off of RareWares, download this version of Lame. You will need to unzip the Lame.exe file, make sure to put it in foobar2000's installation folder. Then just open up foobar2000, drag-and-drop all your files into foobar, then highlight all the songs (ctrl+A), right-click on one of them, then left-click on Convert To. You will see all the options and the different file types that you can convert your WavePack files to. Just select Lame mp3, locate the Lame.exe file, and set your encoding settings.

It may sound like a lot but it is extremely easy and free. You can also download dbpoweramp but the trial version only offers 14 days of track ID encoding.
