Using iPod on two XP machines-best set up?

I have a XP desktop running iTunes. I wish to start to make additions to my 4th gen 40gb Ipod from a new notebook running XP. What is the best way to do this? I understand that I cannot run iTunes on 2 pcs. I do not mind buying third party software. One issue I have is that the notbook only has 10GB of free space on the HD. The ipod is now up to 37GB. I assume I cannot simply add mp3 to the ipod from the notebook as any software will want to copy all of the existing mp3 from the ipod to the notebook. Thanks bunches for any ideas. Tracy

I think the following configuration will work:
1. iTunes on your desktop in autosync
2. iTunes on your laptop in manual sync

MediaChest - Java iPod uploader with benefits, PC<--->iPod, 3-5G, nano
Open source, Smart Playlists&Art, Win 9x/ME/2K/XP/Vista, Mac and Linux. AAC/MP3/WAV
