Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. Anyone know if an iTunes Alarm Clock plug-in exists yet - I know there are Mac versions but (sorry) I'm a Windows user.
Specifically I'm looking to have iTunes start playing a defined selection at 'wake-up' and also offer a 15/30/45 min sleep feature too. Thanks Chris |

I'm working on this plug in. I just moved though, so work is delayed until I unpack my file server and all my code.
![]() The sleep timer works by playing the current queue when you press a hotkey. Press it again and iTunes switches to the next queue. You can select all or just some of your queues, since some music just doesn't work at bed time. Works really well with the Griffin Powermate. Run USB extension cables (I'm at 25' with no problems so far) and put the Powermate by your bed. When you go to sleep press the Powermate as a button and (with my plug in) iTunes will start playing for 30 (or whatever) minutes. Turn the Powermate as a knob to adjust volume. I hadn't planned on doing an alarm clock, but I guess a sleep timer and alarm clock kinda go together. |

Great - I'd be happy to test it when you are ready.
I am using a Windows desktop system in my home office connected in a wireless network. I am playing iTunes across the network to an AirPort Express connected to remote powered speakers in my bedroom. So I am looking to be able to have the Alarm Clock start playing music using iTunes at a set time (ideally configurable on a day-by-day basis). The sleeper works similarly switching music off after a set time. |

Just a troll, most likely.
The alarm thingy sounds great...I'd love to try it as well. |

Any update on this plugin? Having iTunes as my alarm clock would be awesome.

I use my PC for my alarm clock, but not with a plugin directly related to iTunes. Citrus Alarm Clock is a wonderful, low resource, highly customizable application that I've used for over a year now. You can select what song you want to be played with each alarm, and if iTunes is your default music player, it will open in iTunes.
I highly recommend it. |

Wow that thing works very nicely. Thank you for that program. I now use it every morning to wake me up with some screamo, because nothing else will wake me up.
