Ipod to computer transfer with Autosync?

My hard drive crashed and I am going to use one of the third party programs to transfer the songs from my IPod to my new harddrive. My question is, will it be a problem that I have my ITunes/Ipod set to Autosync when I connect it? I don't want my IPod to get erased when I connect it to use the program because the files are no longer there. Thanks!

I can't answer this question 100%, but why even risk it? Before you connect your iPod, open up iTunes and disable the autosync feature in the options. This is always the first thing I do after installing iTunes.
