Angry Internet Media plugin for Intel Macs

I recently bought a new MacBook with the new Intel based chipset and ran into a snag with Apple's programing. It turns out while surfing the net and trying to watch/ download WMA (windows based) media, there is no plugins avaible for the new Intel based Mac. This is a real pain in the ### and it angers me because after shelling out 2 grand for a comp and not being able to watch some stupid clips kida irks me. if anyone knows of a program or plugin that would work it would be great.

Well, there's no direct support for WMA (Windows Media Audio), but that's seldom much of an issue.

However, for Windows Media Video (WMV) files, check our Flip4Mac. It's been released as Universal Binary, so it's compatible with both the Intel and PPC Macs.

In fact, this is the player component that Microsoft now provides directly from their Windows Media for Mac site.

It's just too bad that the files you save from the free Flip4Mac plugin as Quicktime movies can't be converted to anything else. But other than that (and massive rendering errors in Camino, but MS's plugin did the same thing) Flip4Mac is great. It's has only been available as a UniBin for a few weeks.

Edit: You can save the movies and convert them into mp4 with QT Pro and iSquint.

Edit again: Sometimes.
