Thought I might share the story of my wedding...
So, I took the big plunge and got married on Saturday the 26th. We wanted a nice, low-budget ceremony and reception. We rented a tent and held the big event in a friend's backyard. To keep costs down (and justify the cost of my iPod to my new wife ) we ran all of the ceremony and reception music using playlists on my 4G 20 gig. I work for an Audio/Visual rental company, so I rented a nice, powerful sound system at a huge discount for the event. Instead of hiring a DJ, I had a friend of mine just run things off the iPod and it worked great! He had never used one until the day before, and everything went flawlessly. Another testament to the usefulness and ease of use for the wonderful iPod. And it's even white for a nice and elegant wedding look Since we saved so much by not having to hire a DJ, we gave my friend a 512mb shuffle as a token of our appreciation. Good times for all

Congratulations! My girlfriend's brother is planning on doing the same thing when he gets married this summer. If it turns out well for him, and I don't see why it wouldn't, then I will probably do the same when it's my turn to tie the knot.

Heh. That's awesome. Look out, DJs - soon you'll all be replaced by a white slab of polycarbonate plastic.

I agree with Muraida48^. That's an awesome story. I wanna do the same at my friend's possible b-day party. Execpt I want to use my iBook G4, or his (either one will due). iTunes makes it easy with things like Party Shuffle. But doing it with an iPod is still sweet because it's compact. I'd rather DJ with my iPod than my iBook in a strange setting, just for safety. I wanna be the youngest person to hold and iParty! I'll be a 14 year-old iJ (iPod DJ). Well anyway, good luck with your marrige mretzak and Mrs. mretzak lol. The both of you will have wonderful 4GB iPod minis together.

First, Congratulations
Second, This (below) was uncalled for. Marriage is great. Add kids and it gets even better. Ignore him. Apparently he can't satisfy his wife. Quote:
